Pricing
The standard charge is GBP 75 per 1000 words. Alternatively, you can calculate the price by multiplying the number of words in the Dutch source text by the word price of GBP 0.075. Feel free to request a no-obligation offer by completing the fields on the right and submitting the source file. You will receive a competitive offer within 30 minutes. You can of course also e-mail me.
Since practically all of my translations are translated using CAT, my clients can make considerable savings in the event of overlap or repetitions within or between documents. Note that CAT is not machine translation software! CAT or Computer Aided Translating is software that assists the translator in maintaining style and consistency. Common CAT software includes Trados, Studio and Wordfast.
Counting words can sometimes be difficult when presented in a format other than MSWord. If you have a PDF document, please forward it to me and I will be happy to convert it for you, free of charge and without obligation. I use professional conversion software, often generating far superior results compared to the basic conversions that can be obtained from the Internet.
Finally, summary invoices are sent on a monthly basis. British clients will have the convenience of paying into a British account, mostly without paying VAT. Rest assured, I do also have a Dutch account.
Before I forget, I will, of course, always try to honour the delivery date as indicated by you. If I am not able to meet the requested deadline, due to holidays or a high workload, I will give you my earliest delivery date instead. Turnaround times mainly depend on the complexity of the source text and the fact that larger assignments will, of course, take longer than smaller ones. All in all, I am able to meet most deadlines, even tight ones!
